AARON STYPES

Aaron Stypes is an editorial assistant at Flatmancrooked. He enjoys reading the stories submitted to the magazine in hopes it will improve his own writing, or at least give him a better understanding of the competition a writer faces. Most of all, however, was the lure of an actual literary magazine in Sacramento. He has a BA and MA in English (concentration in Creative Writing) from CSUS and has published fiction and nonfiction in North American Review, South Dakota Review, and Underground Voices. A book reviewer for Sacramento Book Review, he’s currently shopping his novel Courtenfox to various publishers. He is here pictured with his baby daughter, Shayna. Before he became a father, he never thought he’d whip out pictures of his baby, like all parents do, but what the hell. She’s damn cute.
