FMC BOOKS

  flatmanCROOKED is not yet accepting submissions for book length pieces.  We are, however, accepting submissions for our two journals, including excerpts from unpublished manuscripts.  When we do begin accepting submissions from books we'll let you know (sign up for email updates on the front page).  That being said, please note the following:

  -We are only publishing books by authors who have not already published book-length pieces.

  -We will be open to publishing both fiction and non-fiction, the divide being roughly 80/20.

  -We will accept unsolicited and agent-free submissions.

  -We will schedule times throughout the year to read, while other times will be consumed with layout, advertising, logistics and dance parties.

  -We will pay advances when we can and will not when we cant.  Large houses will almost always pay bigger advances than us.  We will instead publish books by people with awesome middle names, treat you to meals at nice sandwich shops and return phone calls.
