STEVE D OWEN
is an assistant editor at Flatmancrooked Publishing. His duties include story editing, copy editing, criticism of fiction and film, reading submissions, outreach, and various sorts of company strategery. He holds a MA (summa cum laude) in English from CSUS with a focus in creative writing and literary theory. He also holds a BA in Philosophy and English (magna cum laude), and likes to cradle his epistemology very tightly to his chest.
He likes fiction that is tragic, transgressive, surreal, horrific, philosophical, darkly comic, and chewy from gristle and bone.
